This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for DeafTawk. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this Application, except where stated otherwise. It will notify you of the following:

With whom it is shared;
How it is secured;
How policy changes will be communicated; and
How to address concerns over misuse of personal data.
INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE, AND SHARING
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this App. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us and is essential for signing up the app. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We collect personal information you provide directly to us through your access or use of the Services, such as when you create or modify your account. This information may include: your name, email address, phone number, profile picture, qualification and experience and also demographic information, which may include, but is not limited to, post code, hometown, gender, username, device information, including the type of mobile device you use.
If you choose to link, create, or log in to your DeafTawk account with a social media service (e.g., Facebook), or if you engage with a separate app or website that uses our API (or whose API we use), we may receive information about you or your connections from that site or app.
USE OF PERSONAL DATA
We may use Personal Data which you provide to us or we collect from you to:
Provide, maintain, and improve our Services, including, for example, to provide interpreting services you requested, develop new features, provide customer support to Users and Interpreters and facilitate minutes purchased;
Develop safety features, authenticate users, and send service updates and administrative messages;
Perform internal administration and operations, including, for example, to prevent fraud and abuse of our Services; to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems; to conduct data analysis, testing, and research; and to monitor and analyse usage and activity trends;
Send you information we think will be of interest to you, including information about services, promotions, news, and events, trainings about DeafTawk;
Notify you about changes to our Services;
Allow you to participate in interactive features of our Services;
Keep our Services safe and secure; and
Personalize and improve the Services, including to provide or recommend features, content, social connections, referrals, and advertisements.
SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA
Through Our Services We do not share any information with our partners and advertisers. Neither is this linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. Information is only shared; With Interpreters to enable them to provide the Services you request. For example, we share your name, numbers of minutes you need an interpreter and purpose of requesting an interpreter.
We are partners with an outside company through which users (Deaf Users) can purchase minutes. This company do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond completing your order.
Your DeafTawk profile is password-protected so that only you and authorized DeafTawk employees have access to your account information. DeafTawk staff will never proactively reach out to you and ask for any personal account information, including your password.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
DeafTawk does not allow searching of deaf user and interpreter profiles separately. Deaf user can only connect to an interpreter when they request for it randomly. Once deaf user request for an interpreter only information limited to name, picture, session duration will be shared to the interpreters while on the other hand deaf users can only receive information of interpreters limited to name, experience and ratings.
CONTACT INFORMATION AND ADDRESS BOOKS
We use your contact information, such as your email address or phone number, to authenticate your account and keep it – and our services – secure, and to help prevent spam, fraud, and abuse. We also use contact information to personalize our services, enable certain account features (for example, phone log in verification). Provide us your phone number, will allow you receive the details of your session that will include time duration and public details of interpreter. You can use your settings for email and mobile notifications to control notifications you receive from DeafTawk. You can also unsubscribe from this service through settings.
By signing up with DeafTawk you allow us to receive your current location, which we get from signals such as your IP address or device settings, to securely and reliably set up and maintain your account and to provide our services to you.
